Giacobbe Academy of Dance has dedicated itself to exceptional education in the art of dance. Owned and operated by generations of the Giacobbe family, and staffed with a faculty of professional teachers, the studio is internationally known and recognized for the quality of its instruction and the outstanding dancers it produces. Students train in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe and contemporary dance at the highest level in a professional environment dedicated to nurturing the talents of each student.
SUMMER
WORKSHOP
Our 58th annual Summer Workshop will be held July 13-24, Mondays-Fridays, with Studio Showcases on Friday afternoons. The workshop is open to all dancers age 7- Advanced. Dancers do not need to be enrolled at Giacobbe during the year to participate in the summer workshop. Enrolled students are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to take workshop classes to maintain their dance training over the summer and develop new technique and knowledge. Students can enroll in the entire day, mornings only (stretch & ballet) or ballet classes for one or two weeks. Levels and electives will be set based on overall enrollment, so enroll early to ensure the best experience to take your artistry and technique to the next level!

EveningClasses
Summer Evening Classes will be held June 15-July 30 for Advanced Intermediate, Advanced and Adult Students age 13-adult. Ballet will be held Mondays through Thursdays from 6:00pm-7:15pm. Open Tap will held on Tuesdays from 6:00pm-7:00pm. All students must enroll for the summer and choose a tuition option before starting classes. Two Tuition Options: Six Class Card $100 or Unlimited Class Card $250 (all evening classes for June 15-July 30 Session). Choose which works best for you and enroll now!

New and Returning Students- Please fill out the enrollment form to be added to our 2026-2027 student roster and receive regular email updates and class placement for our 84th Season! Class schedule will be release in July. Classes begin Tuesday, September 1. (BEFORE LABOR DAY!)

Giacobbe Academy of Dance is the official school of Delta Festival Ballet. Delta Festival Ballet’s magical production of The Nutcracker will lift your spirits and warm your heart. Join us for this beloved New Orleans tradition! Auditions will be held September 12 & 13, 2026 and are open to ALL DANCERS age 7-professional.
