Giacobbe Academy of Dance has dedicated itself to exceptional education in the art of dance. Owned and operated by generations of the Giacobbe family, and staffed with a faculty of professional teachers, the studio is internationally known and recognized for the quality of its instruction and the outstanding dancers it produces. Students train in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe and contemporary dance at the highest level in a professional environment dedicated to nurturing the talents of each student.

New and Returning Students- Please fill out the enrollment form to be added to our 2026-2027 student roster and receive regular email updates and class placement for our 84th Season! Class schedule will be release in July. Classes begin Tuesday, September 1. (BEFORE LABOR DAY!)
August
EveningClasses
We are offering two types of classes in August. Open Classes (Ballet and Tap), and Intensives (Jazz and Pointe). All August Evening Classes are for ages 12+.
August Open Classes will be begin on Monday, August 10. Students may purchase a Six Class Card for $100 or an Unlimited August Class Card $150 (all Open classes for August Session)
Open Ballet Mondays and Thursdays from 6:00pm-7:15pm
Open Tap Tuesdays from 6:00pm-7:00pm
August Intensives: We are offering two intensives to finish our summer season!
Jazz Intensive: August 18 & 19, 6:00pm-7:00pm, $50 (total for both classes)
Pointe Intensive: August 25 & 26, 6:00pm-7:00pm, $50 (total for both classes)
Delta Festival Ballet
The Nutcracker
Giacobbe Academy of Dance is the official school of Delta Festival Ballet. Delta Festival Ballet’s magical production of The Nutcracker will lift your spirits and warm your heart. Join us for this beloved New Orleans tradition! Auditions will be held September 12 & 13, 2026 and are open to ALL DANCERS age 7-professional. Performances are December 19 & 20, 2026 at Mahalia Jackson Theater with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra! For more information visit www.deltafestivalballet.com.
