Our History

tradition of ExcellencE

Every family has it’s own traditions that are carried down through generations and discussed incessantly with great pride.  In the Giacobbe family, that tradition is “the studio”.  It was founded in 1943, by Maria and Georgie Giacobbe with the immeasurable support of their parents, who were later joined by their brother Joseph and his wife Gwen Delle, their sister Lee, and Maria’s daughter Toni.  The studio has been nurtured by generations of devoted teachers, students, and the large extended Giacobbe family, whose dedication to achieving excellence in all of their endeavors “runs in the family”.  We are honored and humbled to be entrusted with this larger than life legacy started 82 years ago by Jason’s grandmother and her big sister.  We look forward to shepherding the tradition of commitment to excellence, desire to learn, and love for the art of dance for generations to come.
